The grading is done. The number -> letter correspondence is as follows:

| 20- 40 D | 4 of these |
| 40- 55 C | 5 of these |
| 55- 75 B | 5 of these |
| 75-100 A | 4 of these |
What do these letters mean?
If the term ended today, and all records of your homework disappeared so that only midterm #1 could form the basis of your grade, that's what I'd give you. It's only here so that your final grade won't be a big surprise.
I am not going to toss out the number and average together the letters you get, at the end of the course. So there is no point worrying about "I got a 74 instead of a 76 -- please give me two more points!" It's exactly like someone with a 76 looking for a 78.
